I am not sure that in some case it is used as a locution, because it should be understood simply by judgment ("judgment", "criterion, reasonableness") and addition ("aggregate, often unnecessary").
Judgments are the things that appear after ideas: The red tree. . . And the additions are the things that appear after the judgments: The red lemon tree. Some synonyms, words, or similar expressions may be conjectures and refutations.
